Log analysis is a helpful tool in discovering where bottlenecks exist on your website. By using log analysis, we can track the paths visitors take as they navigate through a website, including the final place visited before leaving.

This can be very useful for ecommerce. For example, if 90% of the visitors who make it to a product page click through to add an item to their cart, but only 5% of those people actually complete the transaction, then the store cart website page should be examined. Or, if the website logs show that 80% of visitors to a website leave the front page after two seconds, then we can conclude that the front page has usability problems that are turning visitors away.

Conducting log analysis in conjunction with Heatmap Generation will provide a deeper understanding of where and why visitors encounter problems in navigating your website.
